Summary
Fastmail's business plans cost $3 (Basic), $5 (Standard) and $9 (Professional) per user a month paid yearly, or $4, $6 and $10 monthly. Custom domains and third-party mail apps need Standard or Professional, but once a Standard or Professional user shares a domain, everyone on the plan, Basic users included, can make addresses on it. For one person, Individual is $5 a month paid yearly with custom domains. Fastmail offers a trial of up to 30 days. MarkRelay is priced per deployment instead of per user: $99 a year plus $5 a month for Cloudflare Workers Paid.

Mixing plans to cut the bill
Fastmail lets one account mix plans, for example Professional for owners, Standard for staff and Basic for contractors. Because a shared domain works for every user once one Standard or Professional user shares it, a team can give most people Basic at $3 and still have addresses on its own domain; those Basic users read mail in Fastmail's apps, not in Outlook or iPhone Mail.
Where MarkRelay fits
A good fit when
- Teams that would otherwise pay per user for many people or shared inboxes.
- Mail kept in your own Cloudflare account, with an HTTP API, webhooks and broadcasts on the same mailboxes.
Look elsewhere when
- Third-party mail apps, shared calendars and a company address book: Fastmail Standard has them; MarkRelay is webmail and API only.
- A single personal mailbox: Fastmail Individual is simpler.
