Message history, or a mailbox

Postmark keeps sent and received messages for 45 days by default, as a log for developers. MarkRelay keeps every received and sent message in a mailbox in your own D1 and R2, readable in a webmail and over the API, and posts a signed webhook for each new email, so the app gets an event and the team gets an inbox.

Where MarkRelay fits

A good fit when

  • Your domain is on Cloudflare and the app should send and receive in your own account, with receiving free.
  • Mailboxes your team can open next to the API, and many domains without per-domain fees.

Look elsewhere when

  • A hosted relay with nothing to deploy, or a dedicated IP and sending SLA.
  • Very high volume where Amazon SES's per-email price matters most.
